    • 4 stk apples
    • 2 spsk sugar
    • 1 spsk lemon juice
    • 1 dl water

    Cut the apples

    1. Peel the apples, remove the cores and cut them into coarse cubes.
    2. The size does not matter much — they cook down together.

    Bring to a boil

    1. Add apples, sugar, lemon juice and water to the pot and bring to a boil on the Trangia.
    2. Stir now and then so it does not catch on the bottom.

    1. Turn the heat down and let the apples simmer until soft and falling apart.
    2. Mash lightly with a spoon for a smoother compote.
