  • 600 g Beef, large cubes
  • 500 g Potatoes, large chunks
  • 3 stk Carrots, large pieces
  • 400 g Cabbage, wedges
  • 2 stk Onions, wedges
  • 400 g Chopped tomatoes
  • 500 ml Beef stock
  • 1 tsk Sweet paprika and bay leaves

    Preheat and layer

    1. Heat the oven to 160°C. Put half the meat in a heavy lidded pot, then layer over the potatoes, carrots, cabbage, and onions. Repeat with the remainder.

    Add the liquid

    1. Mix the tomatoes, stock, paprika, bay leaves, salt, and pepper. Pour over the layers; the liquid should not fully cover them.
