Klepe – Bosnian small dumplings
Small hand-shaped dumplings filled with meat and served with a yogurt-garlic sauce. A beloved Bosnian family dish that rewards patient folding.

- 300 g All-purpose flour
- 150 ml Lukewarm water
- 300 g Ground beef
- 1 stk Onion, very finely chopped
- 300 g Plain yogurt
- 2 fed Garlic, crushed
- 40 g Butter

Make dough and filling
- Knead the flour, water, and a pinch of salt into a smooth dough. Rest for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, mix the meat, onion, salt, and pepper.

Shape the klepe
- Roll the dough thinly and cut into small squares. Put a little filling on each, fold into triangles, and press the edges firmly closed.

Boil and serve
- Boil the klepe in lightly salted water for 6–8 minutes, until they float and the filling is cooked. Mix the yogurt and garlic, then drizzle with melted butter to serve.
