Bosnian burek – meat-filled filo spiral

  • 400 g Filo pastry
  • 500 g Ground beef
  • 2 stk Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsk Sweet paprika
  • 80 g Melted butter
  • 200 g Plain yogurt
  • 1 tsk Salt and black pepper

    Make the filling

    1. Heat the oven to 200°C. Fry the onion and beef in a skillet until the meat is crumbly and cooked through. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.

    Roll the burek

    1. Lay two filo sheets slightly offset, brush with butter, and place a line of filling along the long edge. Roll into a long rope and coil into a greased pan. Repeat.
