- 500 g Bread flour
- 7 g Instant yeast
- 350 ml Lukewarm water
- 1.5 tsk Salt
- 1 tsk Sugar
- 30 g Flour for shaping

Knead and rise
- Mix the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Add the water and knead for 8 minutes into a soft dough. Cover and rise for 1 hour.

Shape the breads
- Heat the oven and a baking sheet to 250°C. Divide the dough into six pieces, press them flat, and make a light diamond pattern with your fingertips.

Bake the somun
- Transfer the breads to the hot sheet and bake for 7–10 minutes, until puffed and golden. Cover with a clean towel for 10 minutes for a soft crust.
