  • Churros dough

    • 2.5 dl Water
    • 2 spsk Neutral oil
    • 1 spsk Sugar
    • 0.5 tsk Salt
    • 150 g Flour
  • Cinnamon sugar

    • 4 spsk Sugar
    • 1 tsk Cinnamon
  • Chocolate sauce

    • 100 g Dark chocolate (70%)
    • 1 dl Heavy cream
    • 1 spsk Sugar (optional)

    Make the dough

    1. Bring water, oil, sugar, and salt to a boil in a saucepan.
    2. Remove the pan from heat. Add all the flour at once and stir quickly with a wooden spoon until the dough comes together and is smooth.
    3. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.

    Fry the churros

    1. Heat oil to 180 °C (360 °F) in a pot. Pipe 10–12 cm lengths directly into the oil. Snip with scissors.
    2. Fry for 3–4 min until golden and crispy. Drain on kitchen paper.
    3. Toss the warm churros in cinnamon sugar.

    Make the chocolate sauce

    1. Heat cream in a small saucepan. Add chocolate pieces and stir until melted and smooth.
    2. Add sugar if you want it sweeter.
