    • 2 stk Onions
    • 4 fed Garlic cloves
    • 1 stk Red bell pepper
    • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Beans and tomato

    • 2 dåse Red kidney beans, drained
    • 2 dåse Chopped tomatoes
    • about 0.8 cup Beef stock
  • Spices

    • 2 tsp Ground cumin
    • 2 tsp Paprika
    • 1 tsp Chili powder
    • 1 tsp Oregano
    • 2 tsp Salt
    • 1 tsp Black pepper

    Brown the meat

    1. Heat oil in a large pot. Brown the minced beef until no longer pink. Drain excess fat if needed.

    Sauté and bloom spices

    1. Add onion and pepper; sauté until soft. Stir in garlic. Take the pot briefly off heat and stir spices into the warm fat.

    Simmer the chili

    1. Add tomatoes, beans and stock. Bring to a boil, then low simmer partly covered 60–90 minutes. Stir now and then.
    2. Season with salt, pepper and chilli. Rest a few minutes – it thickens as it sits.
