Tender pork braised with red wine and crushed coriander seeds. Afelia is a well-known Cypriot dish, often served with pourgouri.

- 800 g Pork neck or shoulder, cubed
- 250 ml Dry red wine
- 2 spsk Coriander seeds, coarsely crushed
- 2 spsk Olive oil
- 1 tsk Salt and black pepper

Marinate the pork
- Mix the pork with wine and coriander seeds. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes, or longer if possible.

Brown the pork
- Lift the pork out of the marinade. Heat the oil in a pot and brown the meat in batches.

Braise
- Pour the marinade over the pork, season, and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer gently for 50–60 minutes, until tender.
