Heart-shaped steaks
- 2 stk Beef steaks (about 200 g each)
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 fed Garlic, lightly crushed
- 1 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Freshly ground pepper
Creamy date night pasta
- 7.1 oz Pasta (e.g. tagliatelle)
- about 0.8 cup Double cream
- 1.4 oz Grated Parmesan
- 1 stk Shallot, finely chopped
- 1 fed Garlic, finely chopped
- ½ tsp Chilli flakes
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- ½ tsp Salt
Instructions

Shape the steaks
- Carefully cut a small V in the top of each steak and press gently to create a heart shape.
- Season the steaks with salt and pepper.

Cook the pasta
- Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water until al dente.
- Reserve some cooking water and drain the rest.

Make the creamy sauce
- Sweat the shallot and garlic in olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the cream and chilli flakes and let the sauce simmer gently.
- Stir in the Parmesan and adjust with a little pasta water if needed.

- Fry the steaks in butter with garlic, about 2–3 minutes per side.
- Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before serving.
