  • Mas huni

    • 200 g smoked tuna (Maldive fish) or canned tuna, drained
    • 1 dl freshly grated coconut
    • 1 stk red onion, finely chopped
    • 1 stk fresh green chili, finely chopped
    • 1 stk lime, juiced
    • 5 stk curry leaves, finely shredded (optional)

Instructions

    Shred the tuna

    1. Shred the smoked tuna with your fingers or a fork in a bowl until evenly flaked.

    Mix the mas huni

    1. Add grated coconut, chopped onion, chili and curry leaves to the tuna.
    2. Squeeze the lime juice over and mix everything thoroughly. Season with salt to taste.
    3. Serve immediately with roshi flatbread. Mas huni is best enjoyed fresh.

  • Traditionally smoked Maldive fish (valamas) is used, but canned tuna in water works as a convenient substitute.
