Outdoor peanut ramen with egg on a Trangia
A warm, filling noodle soup for the trail. Instant noodles get a creamy base of peanut butter and soy, and an egg makes the bowl more substantial. One pot, and the ingredients are available almost anywhere.

- 1 pk Instant noodles (ramen)
- 4 dl Water
- 1 spsk Peanut butter
- 1 tsk Soy sauce
- 0.5 tsk Chili flakes (or curry)
Protein and vegetables
- 1 stk Egg
- 1 håndfuld Carrot in thin strips (optional)
- 1 spsk Scallions, sliced (optional)
Topping
- 1 tsk Sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions

Boil water and make the peanut base
- Bring 4 dl water to a boil in a pot.
- Stir peanut butter and soy sauce into the water until you have a creamy base.

Cook the noodles
- Add the noodles and cook according to the package (usually 3–4 minutes).
- If you use carrot, add it for the last 1–2 minutes.

Poach the egg in the soup
- Crack the egg into the pot while it simmers gently.
- Let the egg poach for 2–3 minutes until the white is set.

Season and serve
- Season with chili flakes (or curry) and a little extra soy if needed.
- Top with scallions and sesame if you brought them.
