- 1200 g Floury potatoes
- 1 stk Onion (optional)
Liquid
- 3 dl Heavy cream
- 1 dl Milk
Seasoning
- 1 tsk Salt
- 1 knsp Black pepper
- 2 knsp Nutmeg
- 1 fed Garlic (optional)

- 100 g Grated cheese (optional)

Prepare the potatoes
- Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly and evenly.

Grease the slow cooker and layer
- Lightly grease the slow cooker.
- Layer the potatoes with salt and pepper.
- Add thin onion slices between the layers if using.

Add the cream mixture
- Stir together the cream and milk.
- Add pressed garlic and nutmeg if using.
- Pour the mixture over the potatoes.

Cook for 4 hours on HIGH
- Set the slow cooker to HIGH and cook the potatoes for 4 hours.

- Set the slow cooker to LOW and cook the potatoes for 8 hours.

Finish
- Stir gently during the final 20 minutes if you want a more cohesive texture.
- For a golden top, transfer the potatoes to an ovenproof dish, sprinkle with cheese and broil at 200°C for 10–15 minutes. This is only for appearance.
