    • 1 tbsp butter or oil for frying
    • 2 tbsp water (for the bacon trick)

    2. Pour a couple of tablespoons of water into the pan
    3. Turn on medium heat and let the water cook off while the bacon starts to render fat
    4. When the water is gone, fry the bacon in its own fat until golden and crisp
    5. Drain the bacon on kitchen paper and keep a little fat in the pan if you like

    2. If the pan is dry, add a little butter or oil
