Homemade strawberry syrup
A concentrated, sweet strawberry syrup with fresh berry flavor. Good in drinks, desserts and pancakes, or stirred into cold summer drinks.

Syrup
- 300 g Strawberries (fresh or frozen)
- 200 g Sugar
- 1 dl Water
- 1 spsk Lemon juice
Instructions

Cook the strawberries
- Put strawberries, sugar and water in a pot.
- Bring to a boil and simmer for 8–10 minutes, until the berries are soft.

Strain and reduce
- Strain the syrup through a fine sieve and discard the berry pulp.
- Pour the syrup back into the pot and simmer gently for a few minutes, until it thickens slightly.
- Stir in the lemon juice and let the syrup cool.
