- 0.7 oz butter or plant-based margarine
Toppings
- 7.1 oz liver pâté (optionally warmed)
- 1 dåse curried herring or mackerel in tomato sauce
- 3.5 oz rolled sausage or ham
- 3.5 oz cheese (e.g. danbo or mild cheddar)
- 3.5 oz cottage cheese or avocado (vegetarian option)
Eggs
- 4 stk eggs
Vegetables and extras
- 0.5 stk cucumber, sliced
- 2 stk tomatoes
- 0.5 stk red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 bundt watercress or chives
- 3.5 oz pickled beetroot or gherkins

Boil the eggs
- Boil the eggs for about 9 minutes until hard-boiled. Cool and peel them.
- If you prefer fried eggs, make them just before serving.

Prep the vegetables
- Slice cucumber, tomatoes and red onion. Rinse watercress or chop chives.
- Arrange everything in small bowls or on a shared platter.

Warm the liver pâté
- Place the liver pâté in the oven until warm and soft.
- It gives a rounder flavour but can easily be skipped.
